Level I — Security Foundations is the essential starting point for professional security officers, providing the legal, ethical, and communication-based groundwork needed to perform confidently and responsibly on the job. Tailored for new hires and as refresher training, this package clarifies an officer’s authority and limitations while establishing clear professional expectations and a commitment to lawful, ethical conduct. Emphasizing de-escalation as the primary response strategy, Level I prioritizes communication-first conflict management alongside situational awareness to reduce incidents and promote safety. The comprehensive curriculum includes SLED Basic (legal authority and responsibilities), SLED Primary Plus (professional conduct and situational awareness), De-Escalation (communication-first conflict management), and on-site fingerprinting completed during training to ensure regulatory compliance—resulting in officers who are prepared, compliant, and capable of handling routine interactions with professionalism.
Level II — Operational Readiness builds on foundational training by equipping officers with the medical and defensive skills needed for higher-responsibility roles, preparing them to respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining control, sound judgment, and professionalism. This package combines life‑saving medical instruction with controlled defensive tools to create well‑rounded officers capable of handling real‑world incidents beyond observation‑only duties. What’s included: SLED Basic; SLED Primary Plus; De-escalation; CPR/AED — emergency cardiac and respiratory response; ASP Flashlight, Baton & Handcuffing — control and safety techniques; OC (Sabre) Certification — defensive spray use and legal considerations; Stop the Bleed — immediate trauma care.
Level III — Armed Operations prepares officers authorized to carry firearms with a focus on responsibility, sound judgment, and accountability; the package pairs rigorous firearms training with medical readiness and foundational professionalism so officers are equipped to make disciplined decisions under pressure rather than merely achieving qualification scores. Included are SLED Basic, SLED Primary Plus, De-escalation, SLED firearms instruction covering safety, handling, and qualification, and Stop the Bleed trauma care integration to ensure immediate lifesaving response capability during armed incidents.
